The New York, USA operation is initiating its hiring plan, and a key piece of the leadership team to be hired is that of a Director, CNS Stem Cell Biology. This position will report to the CTO and manage and build an initial team of scientists with various responsibilities and programs and to recruit and grow a world recognized organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented scientist to contribute to bringing a new class of medicines to patients and gain valuable career experience in translational medicine.

Position Description
•   Instrumental scientific leader and manager of the CNS Stem Cell Biology Program
•   Strategic input into the research direction by interaction with the Executive and other Management teams
•   Work and lead research direction and bioprocessing teams and programs from concept into the clinic
•   External facing role for the company in the areas of research, development and technology internally at meetings, and externally at global conferences
•   Establish, grow and maintain key relationships with global leaders in the CNS Stem Cell Biology translational medicine field
•   Budget Management responsibility
•   Responsible for overseeing and managing key collaborative research programs
•   Maintain high profile international scientific visibility
•   Attend and present corporate/scientific information at appropriate and relevant conferences and symposia


•   10-12+ years of scientific leadership and mentoring in the therapeutic CNS stem cell biology industry
•   Proven ability to lead teams by example and promote company culture
•   Strong cellular biology, proven and contemporary molecular biology and gene editing technologies
•   Hands-on experience and technology expertise on CNS differentiation protocols
•   Extremely effective communicator and leader with excellent organization skills
•   Experience in strategic planning, project leadership, laboratory and budget management
•   An established international reputation and recognition for work done within the stem cell community
•   Proven ability to champion and advance innovative concepts
•   Motivated to build a culture of innovation with aspirations to develop products that will change the lives of people with serious diseases, their families and society
