Point Guard Biosciences LLC (PGBio) was founded by Point Guard Partners, LLC to serve as a platform to identify and commercialize promising pharmaceutical and medical device technology in the ophthalmology and dermatology segments.
PGBio identifies promising technology at the late pre-clinical or early clinical stage and forms special purpose corporations to progress development through critical milestones. These special purpose companies are managed by PGBio employees and have access to the unique clinical, and regulatory and CMC expertise found in PGBio’s affiliate company, Oculos Clinical Research.
There are a number of advantages to the PGBio model from the standpoint of development partners, investors and commercial partners.
