Women, Are You Afraid of Leveraging Your Network?

Examiner -- One of the biggest issues that women have is not asking for what they want. There have been countless articles (and not to mention books) examining why women don't like to negotiate or ask for what they want in terms of money (salary, raises, etc). But I have found that women are less likely to ask for help from their network than men. They don't want to be viewed as bothersome or needy, so they don't tap into their network at critical times when they really need to. That fear can cause missed opportunities and can hold a woman back from success. Here are some rules of engagement to get you comfortable with leveraging your network.
