Unnamed Pennsylvania Device Firm Wants Incentives to Relocate and Create New Jobs in Florida

An out-of-state company is seeking incentives to create high-skill jobs in Broward County and invest more than $1 million locally.

Under the alias “Project Pierce,” the Pennsylvania-based medical device company is considering leasing an expanded 6,500-square-foot facility in Fort Lauderdale. The deal states that if the company creates 50 jobs with an average annual salary of $95,718 and invests $1.06 million for research and development and office equipment, it would receive a tax rebate of $250,000 over six years.
