NewMed Release: How PEMF Therapy Can Help To Improve Arthritis

NewMed, based in Harrietsham, is the one-stop-shop for PEMF therapy, which has been clinically proven to relieve pain and improve the symptoms of arthritis.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Awareness Week, organised by the NRAS, occurs on 19-25th June this year and is an important week to raise awareness and challenge misconceptions and attitudes about RA1. This year NewMed want to make people aware that the use of Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Fields (PEMF) technology offers RA sufferers a drug-free, pain-relief therapy that can also help improve their mobility and help them reduce their pain medication.

RA is a chronic autoimmune disease where the body mistakenly attacks healthy tissue causing pain, swelling, stiffness and loss of function in the joints2. It is estimated that approximately 350 million people in the world have arthritis3.

Non-invasive and drug-free, PEMF therapy stimulates cellular repair to improve your body’s overall performance. It is an idea harnessed by NASA, using the Earth’s natural magnetic fields in a concentrated manner to assist the healing process and relieve people of their pain.

A review by Ganesan (2009) found conclusively that “PEMF not only alleviates the pain in the arthritis condition but it also affords chondroprotection, exerts anti-inflammatory action and helps in bone remodelling… this could be developed as a viable alternative for arthritis therapy”4.

Maria Lopez Rodriguez used the PEMF therapy with the EMPpad iMRS whole body mat 3 times a day, for 15 minutes. She explains, “I was diagnosed with RA 10 years ago but I used natural protocol to deal with the inflammation. However, I still had terrible migraines and a low neutrophil count which made me prone to infections. Since using the therapy these have now gone and my health has improved a lot overall and I have had a better quality of sleep. My blood pressure used to be quite low, 100/65 and the last time I had it checked it is now text book perfect 120/80. Since using the therapy I have more energy and have experienced all these health benefits and I have only been using it for a total of 2 months – I have now purchased a system of my own and I expect the benefits to keep growing.”
