Dealing With a Company Policy Against References
Examiner -- Bruce in San Francisco writes: “I was laid-off from my job last month and I just asked my former boss to be a reference for my job hunt. He said that he’d be happy to give me a good reference but the company has a policy that prohibits managers from giving any references. Why would the company make a rule against giving good references?”
