Conceivex And HealthWarehouse.com Sign National Distribution Agreement

Nationally-Accredited Online Pharmacy Will Make The FDA Cleared, Affordable Infertility Treatment, Conception Kit® At-Home System Available To Couples Across The U.S.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Conceivex, maker of The Conception Kit® at-home system, today announced that its signature product – an FDA cleared, affordable at-home treatment for infertility – is now available through a new partnership with online and mail-order pharmacy HealthWarehouse.com.

“For many couples who are struggling to start a family, there is still an unfortunate stigma associated with infertility”

Drug-and hormone-free, and available by prescription only, the Conception Kit is available to couples who want to use it as a first step ahead of more expensive and invasive treatments to get pregnant. HealthWarehouse.com is the nation’s only Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS) and Vet-VIPPS accredited online and mail-order pharmacy licensed and/or authorized in all 50 states.

Through this agreement, couples will be able to obtain a Conception Kit for $399 from HealthWarehouse.com, whose direct-to-patient delivery model provides another important layer of privacy that – along with the Conception Kit’s FDA clearance to be used at home – affords couples complete discretion.

Servicing customers across the U.S., HealthWarehouse.com provides prescriptions and over-the-counter medications as well as medical devices.

“For many couples who are struggling to start a family, there is still an unfortunate stigma associated with infertility,” Conceivex Founder and President Michael La Vean, said, “and being able to have an FDA cleared product delivered directly to their home that they can use privately makes a big difference. We are thrilled to be working with the HealthWarehouse team, and look forward to helping the more than 20 million women, and the men who are equally in need of assistance, start or expand their family.”

Joseph Peters, CEO and President of HealthWarehouse.com stated, “This partnership with Conceivex will enable HealthWarehouse to expand its product offering and improve our mission to improve the well-being of the patients we serve. Part of that mission includes addressing the problem of infertility and we welcome this opportunity with the Conception Kit at-home system.”

The need for the affordable first step option that the Conception Kit offers is urgent. A recent study published in Fertility & Sterility by a team from the University of Michigan and the University of Pittsburgh found that nearly 40 percent of reproductive-aged women in the United States – approximately 25 million – have limited or no nearby access to assisted reproductive technology (ART) clinics, which provide services that are vital to many women aiming to become pregnant. Additionally, FertilityIQ reports that according to its data, fully-loaded, per treatment cycle costs of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) are now $23,050, or nearly double the $12,400 that has been historically reported.

Importantly, the FDA required clinical trials on placement of the Conception Kit’s Conception Cap® (a cervical cap that is used for insemination at home) and instructions by patients. During the trials, 24 percent of the patients – all of whom had failed to conceive using advanced reproductive therapies, including in-vitro IVF and intra-uterine injection (IUI) – got pregnant during the first 30 days.

The Conception Kit provides three months of supplies, including 24 ovulation predictors, three pregnancy tests, along with three Conception Caps, and a number of additional aides.
