SAN FRANCISCO – The 2016 BIO International Convention will be held here next week, June 6-9. The BIO Convention returns to the birthplace of biotech for its 23rd annual international convention where over 1000 biotech institutions are represented across the US and in over 30 other countries.

BIO tends to draw an enormous crowd, with a record-breaking 22,000 professionals in 2007. The convention—named “The Global Event for Biotechnology”—not only features several keynote speakers (including actor Will Smith), but Meetups for specialized groups in the industry, an eight-part exhibition hall, several networking events and sessions on innovation, product creation, and lessons learned in the industry.

This year, BioSpace is turning up the party in BioTech Bay; we’re sponsoring a photo booth at the event, which will be located in the West Hall entrance lobby. Attendees can stop by and pose with the Biotech Bay hotbed map, a representation of the most influential Life Sciences companies in the Bay area.

In addition to posing with the well-known hotbed map, attendees can also enter to win prizes such as hotbed swag, a Jambox speaker and even a free hotbed placement on next year’s maps!

BioSpace will also be joining hundreds of other exhibitors on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the convention. Attendees who are interested in finding out what BioSpace can do for their company’s recruitment and branding needs can find us at booth #5609.

For those who are not able to attend the BIO International Convention (#BIO2016), we will be live tweeting the event so you don’t have to miss a thing. Follow us on Twitter (@biospace) and Facebook to stay up to date with information on the convention and look for fun photo booth images from BioTech Bay!

The BioSpace editorial team will be producing content covering the convention, maintaining its reputation as the go-to site for all Life Sciences news and jobs. Stay up to date with the latest in the industry by engaging BioSpace every day. We hope to see you next week!
