Agilent Technologies Presents Early Career Professor Award To Dr. Gary Patti

Washington University in St. Louis Professor Recognized for Groundbreaking Work in Metabolomics

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) has named Dr. Gary J. Patti, as the recipient of the prestigious 2017 Agilent Early Career Professor Award.

Dr. Patti, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry in Arts and Sciences, Washington University in St. Louis, was selected for his contributions to the detection of metabolomics changes in whole organisms and their utility for drug discovery, early detection, characterization and surveillance of cancer as well as other diseases and conditions.

Using state-of-the-art mass spectrometers coupled with cutting-edge metabolomic technologies, Dr. Patti’s lab takes a systems-level approach to the study of comprehensive metabolism and identification of specific pathways that are altered in connection with particular phenotypes.
