A Stressful Life Can Trigger Violent Crimes In Some People, Oxford University Study

A stressful life event like the death of a parent can trigger individuals to commit violent crimes, a new study has found.

Researchers discovered that in the week after being exposed to stress, people were more likely to go on to commit a violent crime themselves.

They now plan to test whether this link could be used in future to determine when someone with severe mental illness might be likely to commit a crime.
